Chapter 9 Network Device Driver Options 221
maxtransmits
Indicates the number of transmits that can be queued by the driver.
netaddress
Overrides the network address. This entry should be used if, for some
reason, there are duplicate addresses on the network. The value is a
hexadecimal string of 12 digits enclosed in quotation marks, such as
"02608C010001".
override_type
Specifies whether the driver will override the type indicated by the
adapter’s jumpers. Values for this entry are yes or no; no is the
default.
stype_slot
Indicates the slot number for the network adapter, as well as the type
of adapter. Valid entries for type are atype, btype, and stype.
Consult your adapter user’s manual for the proper use of these
keywords. Possible values for the slot number are 1 to 7 inclusive.
