8.8 When Dialing In as a Terminal, the “username” or “password:” Prompt Did Not

Display

This is considered to be a security problem.

Is the last message displayed a connect message from your modem?

Did the “annex:” prompt display?

Check for error messages.

Did an error message such as the following one display?
