8-4 Troubleshooting Guide

Are all the addresses correct?

Correct the addresses as necessary.
Enter the
image -d command. Three or four lines of data will display. Check the top line to see if the image name
and the revision level of the software running on the UNIX host are appropriate for the device as shown in Table 8-1.
Do you have the correct load image (for example, devices match UNIX level software and image name).

Correct as necessary.
At the
monitor: prompt, enter the sequence -d command.
Did “net,self”, or “net” display?

Did “self” display?

If
self,net displays, enter sequence at the monitor: prompt. A question displays. Enter the
net,self command. Then enter the boot -v command to boot the device.
Did the device boot?

Call Cabletron Technical Support.
Congratulations, the problem is solved.

Change the sequence to “net”. Enter
sequence at the monitor: prompt. A questions displays. Enter,
net. Then enter the boot -v command to boot the device.
