Can the workstation communicate with the server?

The DNI card in the workstation may not be configured correctly. Check the Startup.ncf file on the server.

Is the “Set Maximum Physical Receive Packet Size” set to at least 1518?

Set the maximum packet size to 1518.

The frame type (Ethernet-802.2, -802.3, -II, or SNAP) that is being used on the workstation and server

may not be the same.

Are the frame types different?

Call Cabletron Technical Support.

Set the workstation and server to use the same type frame and try to connect with the server.

Can the users connect with the server?

Call Cabletron Technical Support.
