Token Ring IF Configuration View
To access: Select Configuration from the TokenRingIfApp Icon Subviews menu.
Commands This field provides a button that allows you to send the following commands
to the device: None, Open, Reset and Close.
None No command is sent to the device. This is the default setting.
Open Inserts the device into the Token Ring network.
Reset Resets the device with all counters retaining their original state.
Close Removes the device from the Token Ring network.
Ring Speed This field provides a button that allows you to configure the device with the
bandwidth of the ring. You can choose from Unknown, 16 Megabits, 4
Megabits, and 1 Megabits.
Active Monitor Process This field provides a button that allows you to configure the device as an
Active Monitor to participate in the active monitor bid on the Token Ring
network, or to disable active monitor participation. Possible values are
DoNotParticipate and Participate.
Functional Address
Bitmask
The bit mask of all Token Ring functional addresses for which this interface
will accept frames. You can enter the desired mask.
Ring State Indicates whether this interface is entering or leaving the ring.
Ring Open-Status The success, or reason for failure, of the station’s most recent attempt to
enter the ring.
Upstream Neighbor The MAC address of the upstream neighbor station.
Ring Status This area contains read-only indicator buttons displaying the current status
of the network. The Ring Status indicator buttons are defined below.
