DS1 Conﬁguration View

The DS1 Conﬁguration View provides the same information as the DS1 Conﬁguration Table

for the selected interface and allows you to modify ﬁeld values.

To access: Double-click on a DS1 Conﬁguration Table entry to access the DS1

Conﬁguration View.

Index This ﬁeld displays the index value which uniquely identiﬁes the CSU (a

single DS1 physical interface) to which the entry is applicable.

If Index This ﬁeld displays the index value uniquely identifying an interface to a

DS1.

Line Type This ﬁeld displays the type of DS1 line implementing this circuit. The type of

circuit affects the number of bits per second the circuit can reasonably carry,

as well as the interpretation of the usage and error statistics. The values in

sequence describe:

Other - A line type other than those listed below.

ESF - AT&T Extended SuperFrame format DS1.

D4 - AT&T D4 format DS1. (Supported by MicroMMAC.)

E1 - CCITT recommendation G.704. (section 2.1.3.2)

E1-CRC - CCITT recommendation G.704. (section 2.1.3.1)

E1-MF - G.704 (Table 4a) with TS16 multiframing enabled.

E1-CRC-MF - G.704 (Table 4b) with TS16 multiframing enabled.
